JOHN WALLACE (England, 1841-1905) "Bamburgh Castle" painting. Oil on canvas. Accompanied by a black and white photo taken before the painting was relined that shows the artist name as Gum Wallace with the title and the date "1895". This painting is unsigned and attributed to John Wallace. He painted other views of Bamburgh Castle in his career. It has been relined and has in painting, mostly in the sky but also around the edges of the castle and some in the foliage surrounding the castle. Measures 30" high x 50" wide. Frame measures 36 ½" high x 54 ¼" wide.
