Full length, standing in a landscape by a pedestal with a basket of fruit, wearing a blue dress with a white apron Oil on canvas 124 by 100 cm.; 48 3/4 by 39 1/2 in. The sitter was the son of Theodore and Margaretta Hodshon of Wandsworth. Margaretta outlived both her husband and her two sons and on her death her property passed to her husband's sister Lucy Hodshon, wife of Thomas Greame. PROVENANCE By descent from Lucy Graeme, nee Hodshon, aunt of the sitter.
