Signed John Smith, London, No. 1100. London hallmark 1805
The frosted gilt movement with chased and engraved cock, monometallic balance, chain fusee and verge escapement, stop lever to the bezel, the white enamel dial with Roman numerals, outer minute ring, large subsidiary seconds, gilt spade hands, eccentric dial at XII, with twelve divisions marked alternatively with a capital E and capital O (for odds and evens), the lever in the band operating a gold hand which indicates one of the segments at random, in plain silver case with plain outer case
