Notes

This painting is sold with an accompanying certificate from Warlayirti Artists, Balgo Hills that reads in part: 'Artist's Country. Local myths tell of how in the time of the Dreaming fire-lights fell out of the sky and started a big bush-fire here. Eventually of the country was burned up and nothing could grow. Today this is marked by a large, salty claypan.

Three old men were here to witness these events and where they died there are now three rocks. Big Law is associated with these matters and the artist is chief custodian for this Law.'
