This maquette was for the public art sculpture titled After Babel, located at the corner of St. Urbain and Maisonneuve in the new Quartier des Spectacles in Montreal. The work was a gift in 1993 from the City of Toronto to the City of Montreal on the occasion of the 350th Anniversary of the founding of Montreal. A collaborative work with Marlene Hilton-Moore who produced the figurative head. The artists collaborated again in 2006 installing The Valiants next to the National War Memorial in Ottawa, where the roles were reversed and Hilton-Moore did the majority of the work.
