(American, 1820-1903) "NORTH DUTCH CHURCH, NEW YORK, JULY 5TH 1875". Oil on board scene shows church front attached to other buildings with large pile of rubble in front with two people atop. Inscribed in bottom right "North Dutch Church, New York, July 5th 1875 NW 50 Fulton & William Streets". Also signed "J.M. Falconer 1875". An important of the time scene of the cataclysmic fire which destroyed the North Dutch Church. Well detailed in its rendering. Housed in a reproduction period style frame. SIZE: 16-1/2" x 12".
