oval, 2 1/2 in. (64 mm.) high, ormolu easel frame by Picart with outer beaded border, the reverse scratched with the artist's address J. Nimmo 9 rue de Verneuil Paris

Notes

It has been suggested that the sitter is Alfred Guillaume Armand de La Planche, Vicomte de Ruillé (b. 1866), son of Vicomte Geoffroy de Ruillé and his wife Marie-Marguerite (see preceding lot).
