JOHN HENRY NIEMEYER (American, 1839-1932) STUDY IN BLUE AND YELLOW. Oil on board interior scene shows a young woman in yellow/white dress seated in an upholstered armchair reading a yellow book. A window with blue print curtains is off her left shoulder and a painting on the wall is above her head. Unsigned but retaining its original label on reverse with artist and partially obscured title "_ _ sement in blue and yellow". Housed in a gesso decorated French style antique frame. SIZE: 18" x 14".
