The artist John Hayls worked extensively for the Bertie family.

By descent from Baptist Noel, 3rd Viscount Campden and his fourth wife, Lady Elizabeth Bertie, daughter of Montagu, 2nd Earl of Lindsey, to Charles, 3rd Earl of Gainsborough (1850-1926), by whom sold, Christie's, 19th April 1902, lot 99, bt. Kennedy for £5.4.0
