Description

Stacey studied at the Massachusetts Normal School in Boston before moving to Chicago in 1891. He and his wife, Anna Lee Stacey, established a studio in the Tree Studio Building. He was a member of the Chicago Painters and Sculptors, and exhibited at the Art Institute of Chicago and the Chicago Gallery Association. In the 1930s he moved to California, and he became a member of the Pasadena Society of Artists. His work is in the collections of the Union League Club (Chicago) and the John Herron Art Institute ((Indianapolis). Exhibited: Art Institute of Chicago, Chicago Artists, 25th Annual, 1921.
