John D Edwards, British b.1952- ''Dawn Room''; oil on canvas, signed and dated 1989, 30.6cmx25cm, (may be subject to Droit de Suite) Provenance: Odette Gilbert Gallery, London, where acquired by the present owner. Note: John D Edwards studied at Harrow and Central Schools of Art from 1970 to 1974. During the 1970s he worked with a number of artists including Richard Hamilton, Peter Blake and Allen Jones. He has exhibited all over the world and has had numerous solo exhibitions, including shows at London's Mayor Gallery and Lefevre Gallery. His work is held in a number of public and private collections including the Government Art Collection and the collection of Eric Clapton.
