excellent original frame. Johansen studied at the Art Institute and in Paris. He was well-known as a portrait painter, but painted a variety of subjects. He exhibited at the Art Institute of Chicago, Newport Art Association, Pan-Pacific Expo, National Academy of Design, and the Stockbridge Art Association. His work is included in numerous museum collections.
