Quarto (285 x 220 mm). 65 black and white photographs (minor staining to top edge); original gray cloth, spine and front cover blocked in blue, original dust jacket (light damp staining and spotting to spine panel). Provenance: Ellen and Gerry Waller (presentation inscription on title, dated 16 June 1968).

FIRST EDITION, PRESENTATION COPY INSCRIBED BY VAN DER KEUKEN TO FILM-MAKER ELLEN WALLER. A classic photobook about the French capital, in the stream of consciousness tradition of William Klein, concerned with "burrying the myth of romantic, timeless, immortal Paris" (The Photobook). The Open Book, pp.196-97; The Photobook, vol. I, pp.248-49 (published "as a promotional vehicle, and therefore not in any great numbers").
