To the naked eye: The overall condition is very good. The painting is painted on a cradled oak panel. The painting is perfectly stable and we cannot notice any lifting. The varnish is quite dirty and needs to be lighten. Under UV light: The painting appears under a green uniform varnish. We can notice that the panel is made of two planks with an horizontal junction in the middle of the composition. We can notice several restorations along the junction and some very light repaints in the horse mouth and legs on the left. The bull body on the left has been slightly restored. In conclusion, the painting is in overall good condition, well preserved.
