Jerry Okimoto (HI/NY, 1924-1998), Beneath the Sea, oil on canvas, signed lower right "Okimoto," retains a paper Krasner Gallery label en verso, original modern frame. Okimoto, a Japanese-American artist born in Waianea, Hawaii, is considered one of the "Japanese American Master Artists of Hawaii." His work has been included in numerous shows and public collections, including the Honolulu Academy of Art and the Whitney Museum of American Art.
