To the naked eye: The painting appears in satisfactory condition. It is on its original canvas. We notice on the reverse three pieces of canvas covering an old accident and tears (upper left corner, above the wide upon arm and on the curtain). The painting has a light primed and we see canvas’ weave. Under UV light: The painting appears under a green uniform varnish. We can notice some restorations on the tears already mentioned.
