Jane Sage Fuller (American, 1897-1984), pair of cat-form bronze andirons, ca. 1924, individually sculpted andirons on oval plinths decorated in bas relief with images of mice and wheat, and dated two years after the 1922 discovery of King Tut's tomb, a time when Egypto mania was at the height of popularity, the andirons stamped by the foundry, Roman Bronze Works of New York, a connection documented in their archives, now held at the Amon Carter Museum, signed "Jane Fuller", h. 19-1/4", w. 5-1/4", d. 23-1/4".
