After this period, Auctioneer will not be responsible for lost or damaged merchandise and no refunds will be made if lost or damaged.

If for any cause a purchased lot cannot be delivered in as good condition as at the time of sale, or should any purchased lot be stolen or mis-delivered or lost prior to delivery, Clements shall not be liable for any amount in excess of that paid by the purchaser.

1. Advance bids in the mail or over the phone must be accompanied by a cashier's check for the full amount of the bids. Any over payments will be refunded by return mail on the week following the sale.
2. Terms: Cash or we will accept your personal or company check accompanied by a current driver's license and a major credit card, if the customer is known by the auctioneer. All other checks must be accompanied by a bank letter. We accept visa and master card credit cards in payment. All purchases must be paid for the day of sale.
3. While auctioneers have endeavored to catalogue and describe the property correctly, all property is sold "as is" and neither the auctioneer nor its consignor will be responsible for the description, authenticity, genuinesness, provenance, or condition of the property. No statement contained in the catalogue or made orally at the sale or elsewhere shall be deemed to be such a warranty or representation or an assumption of liability.
4. Auctioneer reserves the right to withdraw any item at any time before the sale.
5. The highest bidder observed by the auctioneer shall be the purchaser. In the event of any dispute between bidders, the auctioneers shall have absolute discretion to either determine the successful bidder, in which event his determination shall be final, or to re-offer and resale the article in dispute. If any dispute arises after the sale, Auctioneers' sale record shall be conclusive as to who was the purchaser, the amount of the highest bid, and in all other respects.
6. If the Auctioneer, in his sole and final discretion, decides that any original bid is not commensurate with the value of the article offered, or having acknowledged an original bid, that any advance thereafter is not sufficient in amount, he may reject the same. Clements shall act to protect the seller's reserve as Agent of the Seller by bidding through the Auctioneer. The Auctioneer may open bidding on any lot below the reserve by placing a bid on behalf of the seller. The Auctioneer may continue to bid on behalf of the Seller up to the amount of the Reserve, either by placing the consecutive bids or by placing bids in response to other bidders.

Absentee bids can be placed with Auction Zip or directly with Old Stuff For You. Absentee bids can be placed via e-mail or phone. Returns: All returns must be requested within 7 days of receipt of goods and must be approved by Old stuff for You.

Payment is due within 7 days upon receipt of invoice. All pricing details upon the close of auction will be sent to you via Invaluable e-mail. This invoice will be directly e-mailed to your address on file with Invaluable / AuctionZip.
Sales Tax in Illinois
When an item is shipped from and to Illinois we must charge a 6.25% sales tax added to the hammer price.

Reports of condition in the auction catalog are not guaranteed and the accuracy may vary. All goods sales are final and are sold as is. All conditional reports, measurements, opinion of values, age and quality are offered by us but are not guaranteed. We will not be held accountable nor responsible for the accuracy of printed or verbal descriptions or its authenticity.
Lots may have a minimum selling prices or a reserve price. This confidential figure is set by consignor and we will implement all reserve bids. The record of sale kept by the auction house is final in any dispute. All sales are recorded and will be used for confirmation.
The buyer owns the property as soon as the "hammer strikes the podium"". The auction house may choose to resell items if terms, shipping or pick up are not met. Payments Include Wire Transfer, PayPal, and All Major Credit Cards.
At the auctioneer's sole discretion, he has the right to refuse any bid, to advance the bidding in such a way as he or she may decide to withdraw any lot, and in the case of a dispute or error, and whether during or after the sale, to determine the successful bidder, to continue the bidding, to cancel the sale or to re-offer and resell the item in dispute. Our sale record is conclusive if a dispute arises after the sale. We reserve the right to withdraw any property before and during the sale, as well as reserve the right to group one or more lots into one or more selling lots, or to subdivide into two or more selling lots. Payments
No items will be shipped to any bidder for any particular auction until all charges for the auction have been paid in full and all funds have cleared. Payments Include Wire Transfer, PayPal, and All Major Credit Cards. The buyer will incur a 20% restocking fee if the goods are rejected by the buyer due to reasons other than errors on our part. A 35.00 fee will be charged for all checks returned. A 3% PayPal processing fee will be added to all items.


Taxes on your purchase

U.S. State Sales Tax Rate: 9.25% for Tennessee residents.
Please note: Tennessee also has a Single Article Tax on single items that fall between $1600-$3200. These items are taxed 9.75%.
If a single article exceeds $3200 it is taxed 7% (Tennessee local tax)on the total plus $80.
