Folio (570 x 425mm). 20 woodburytypes on mounts with printed captions, 2 hand-coloured lithographed plans (some scattered spotting mostly in the mounts, plans with a few creases). Recent green half morocco to style preserving the original lettering piece on the front cover.

FIRST EDITION. Caithness, Lord-in-Waiting to Queen Victoria and founding member of the Amateur Photographic Association, exhibited photographs of Windsor Forest at the 1862 International Exhibition, some of which probably feature in this book. William Bembridge (1818-1879), born in Windsor, frequently photographed members of the Royal family and undertook a number of commissions for Queen Victoria, including printing and organising the Queen's private negatives.
