A young gentleman, facing right in blue coat with black collar and gold buttons, yellow waistcoat and frilled cravat, powdered hair en queue oval, 1 3/8 in. (35 mm.) high, silver-gilt frame with old cut diamond surround and pierced old-cut diamond border, the reverse with locks of hair and gold wire on opalescent glass within split-pearl border PROVENANCE With S. J. Phillips Ltd, London, 1961, acquired by Dr Anton C. R. Dreesmann (inventory no. F-112).
