Notes

THE PROPERTY OF A GENTLEMAN
Lots 93-114

James Miller specialised in watercolours of London and its environs during the 1770's and 1780's. Little is known of the artist, but his style is close to that of Paul Sandby (see lots 52-53, 102). A fine example of his work is Cheyne Walk, Chelsea in the collection of the Victoria and Albert Museum. Forty-two works by the artist from a sketchbook were in the collection of Dudley Snelgrove.

No VAT will be charged on the hammer price, but VAT at 17.5% will be added to the buyer's premium which is invoiced on a VAT inclusive basis
