Description

Mrs Charlotte Trevanion (1783-1810), wearing white dress, pearl necklace, pearl pendent earrings, her hair upswept and parted, the back plaited, tied in a knot with a section left long in front of her shoulder, a braid of plaited hair wrapped around a pink bandeau tied across her forehead, a gold and pearl hair comb at the back of her head.
Oil on ivory, gold frame with ribbon bow cresting, the reverse set with blue glass and label inscribed Mrs Trevanion/ B. 1783. D. 1810.
Oval, 54mm (2 1/8in) high
