James Dee Richardson (Washington, D.C./American, 1900-1958), "Isola D'Oro," 1918, oil on board, initialed and dated 1918 lower left, titled, signed and inscribed on the verso, measures 5.50 x 5.50 inches unframed, overall in the frame it measures 9 x 8.75 inches. CONDITION: Good, frame with losses. James Dee Richardson was a Washington, D.C., painter and illustrator who worked for St. Nicholas Magazine among other publishers. He was one of the editors of The Chameleon, an illustrated anthology and record of the arts in Washington which was published in the late teens/early 1920s.
