Another version of this design was in a sale in Milan, Finarte, 4 December 1986, lot 234, catalogued as Salviati. It came from the group of twenty-four drawings associated with the work of Salviati, bought in Bologna between the wars by F. Perman and which remained in Stockholm until dispersed.
