Jacob Willemsz. Delff was the father of the Dutch painter of still lifes Cornelis Jacobsz. Delff. Besides carefully executed portraits he used to paint scenes with riflemen. His biblical scenes are rare and feature portrait-like figures. Most of his paintings are signed.
