Black chalk, ink, and ink wash on paper, sheet size 8 1/4 x 6 3/4 in. (20.8 x 17.1 cm), framed.
Condition: Minor foxing, minor tear.

Provenance: Christie's London, King Street, Old Master and 19th Century Drawings, July 9, 2002, Sale 6603, Lot 65.

Condition Report

The sheet is hinged at the upper corners, and at the left corner is a 3/8 inch tear. There is a tiny repair to the middle of the lower edge. The sheet is a laid paper with a partial watermark of a crest surrmounted by an "M." There are ink and pencil annotations to the verso, as well as an unidentified collector's mark.
