The present work is a study for Roberts-Jones' third Churchill statue (see P. Cannon-Brookes, Ivor Roberts-Jones, London, 1983, p. 52, no. 50, illustrated). There was a posthumous edition of six, but none of these were cast. The present work is a lifetime cast (edition unknown) and is the Artist's Copy.
