Lord Chandos was involved in the Winston Churchill Monument selection process. He was at the meeting at Sir Kyffin Williams' studio in Holland Park, London, where Lady Churchill was given a viewing of Roberts-Jones' maquettes for the statue of her late husband (see introduction to lots 46-52).
