Provenance: The Serenissima Collection, Arsantiqva, London, 19 April 2002, lot 141 (as 'struck') Alessandro Bassano was a Paduan scholar and numismatist who advised Cavino on his restitution antique 'coins'. Benavides was a Paduan jurist, a famous collector and a patron of the arts.
