Isabel de Bohun Lockyer, British 1895-1980- Saint'Abbondio; linocut, signed, titled and numbered 2/10 in pencil, 13.4x19.8cm:(may be subject to Droit de Suite)
Note: Isabel de Bohun Lockyer was one of the few artists outside the Grosvenor School to use linocut for colour printmaking in England during the 1920s. Printing in water-based inks, her linocuts have the appearance of colour woodcuts. She exhibited regularly with the Society of Painter-Gravers in Colour from 1925 to 1938 and showed her work alongside that of Claude Flight at his annual exhibitions during the 1930s: Henry Macbeth-Raeburn RA RE, British 1860-1947- Padstow, Cornwall; etching, signed in pencil, signed with initials within the plate, 26.5x40cm: together with a large quantity of 19th century and later prints by and after various hands, various techniques, various sizes, (a lot) (unframed) (may be subject to Droit de Suite)
