Cap and Bells was a bay filly foaled in the USA in 1898 by Domino out of Ben-My-Chree. Having won the Spinster Stakes on home soil she was sent to England by her owneMr. F.R. Keene, where she won the premier fillies' classic The Oaks at Epsom.

As a broodmare, Caps and Bells bred two stakes winners in the United States and was the dam of Wamba who won no less than 14 races in Britain.
