Description

1616. PHIL INTERLANDI (1924-2002) Chicago-born cartoonist whose works graced Playboy Magazine for five decades, displaying a sharp wit and instantly recognizable style, the venerable gagsman also served during WWII where he was held for a time in a German POW camp. An original published single panel cartoon measuring 6" x 7 1/2", executed in ink and charcoal and portraying a young woman parking by a sign that reads "No-No Zone". Signed at lower left and dated 3-11-1976 with King Features Syndicate label affixed. Faint charcoal rubbing to textured card stock, otherwise fine. $100-150
