4 o. 7 mounted photographic plates. Original vellum, gilt-lettered on spine and upper cover, t.e.g., others uncut (covers slightly bowed, some pale spotting); quarter morocco folding case.

LIMITED EDITION, number 10 of 115 copies signed by Unwin. Ibsen's play opened on June 7, 1889 at the Novelty Theatre in London, and was met with great success. The performances at the Novelty Theatre were really the first professional productions of Ibsen in London and allowed, for the first time, the English-speaking population to become familiar with his style.
