Lot 374: Huang Yi (Chinese 1744-1801)

"Watching a Waterfall in the Depth of a Large Mountain", ink and color on silk, inscribed and signed with two seal stamps. Image 3'2-1/2"T x 1'4-1/2"W. This pictures was used as an abstract of a dissertation by Arthur Mu-sen Kao and was inspected and deemed authentic by Mr. Ho of the Cleveland Museum of Art. Active in Hangzhou (Zhejiang), Huang Yi was also an archaeologist and an eminent seal carver.
