The full catalogue information for this lot is as follows: flush-mounted to Masonite, a Museum of Modern Art label and numerical notations in unidentified hands in ink and crayon on the reverse, matted, 1949, printed no later than 1958 Born in Oakland, California, Page attended the Institute of Design in Chicago in 1940 and '41. He worked as a commercial photographer in San Francisco and was awarded a Guggenheim Fellowship in 1950. Later in his career, Page became photo editor for Argosy magazine, and his photographs appeared in the New York Times Magazine and Harpers.
