Notes

At one time Homer Davenport was among the most feared political cartoonists in America and a target of the Anti-Cartoon Bill that fortunately never passed into law. While his sympathetic cartoons of Teddy Roosevelt helped the Vice President win his presidential election, Davenport was merciless to industrialist Mark Hanna. Note the dollar signs on his suit. One of the pictures shows Hanna being interviewed by star reporter Ned Hamilton.
