CATALOGUE NOTE

Haase-Ilsenburg worked in Berlin exhibiting at the Grossen Berliner Kunst-Ausstellung between 1903-1911. The present works reflects the vogue for sculptures of nudes on animals, normally portraying amazons, such as those by Wrba, Stuck, Wiese and Hussman.
