Alison painted a number of views of the coast at Tiree, two of which were exhibited at the Royal Scottish Academy in 1938 South-West Point, Tiree and Atlantic Shore, Tiree . The present work is almost certainly Bathers exhibited at the Academy in 1939 with Tragh Vea Bay, Tiree .
