Condition Report

The sheet is laid down on card using three tabs affixed to the underside of the top horizontal edge. There is a very minor undulation to the sheet. There are pin holes at the four corners of the sheet, visible only when viewed unmounted, most probably a result of the artist's working method. There is some minor staining to the edges of the sheet, possibly caused by a previous acidic mount, visible only when viewed unmounted. There is some minor surface dirt and studio detritus across the sheet. Subject to the above, the oil seems to be strong and and stable, and the work appears to be in good condition. The work is framed and glazed, window mounted and housed in a simple square-profile gilt wooden frame. Please telephone the department on +44 (0) 207 293 6424 if you have any questions regarding the present work.
