Note : Helen Munro Turner was a hugely influential figure in glass design in the 20th century. A glass engraver, artist, illustrator and inspirational teacher, she created the Department of Glass Design at Edinburgh College of Art circa 1950 that has become a fundamental component of Scottish glass history and development in the latter half of the 20th century. This private collection formed part of the much celebrated Helen Munro Turner Memorial Exhibition at The Scottish Gallery, Edinburgh in July 2007.
