HEINRICH [HENRYK] RAUCHINGER (POLISH-AUSTRIAN 1858-1942), "Portrait of Young Girl," oil on canvas, 27 3/4 x 22 1/2 in (70.5x57.2cm), signed upper left. Heinrich Rauchinger was born on January 1, 1858 as Henryk Rauchinger in Krakow, Poland. He was a noted portrait and history painter who studied in Krakow with Metejko and in Vienna with Eisenmenger and Griepuekerl. Rauchinger's paintings are in the National Museum in Krakow.
