Description

signed. Important Missouri region painter. He studied at the University of Missouri and the St. Louis School of Fine Art in the 1920s. He was a member of the Arkansas Watercolor Society, Southern States Art League, Ozark Art Association, Florida Artist Group, and the National Society of Mural Painters. He exhibited at the St. Louis Artist Guild, Ozark Art Association, Denver Art Museum, Kansas City Art Institute, National Academy of Design, Southern States Art League, and the Carnegie Institute (1920s-50s). He taught at the Little Rock (AR) Jr. College, Stetson University, Hendrix College, and was the founder of the Art School of the Ozarks.
