Provenance: By repute the property of Charles Moore and apparently in the catalogue of sale for Willis's Rooms dated Wednesday, January 14th, 1925 and Friday, January 16th, 1925. This sale reputedly contained the disposal of Moore's estate and lists lot 83 as 'A plaster Plaque, Figures, H. BATES A.R.A.' which sold for £2.5s.
