Folio (546 x 364 mm). Period half crimson morocco over marbled boards, spine gilt. Additional title detached, chipped, and torn, Burchell's Zebra plate with closed tear, foxing and stain throughout, though generally not affecting most plates, title creased, binding partially separated from text block and worn. First edition, second issue. Harris served as an engineer with the British East India Company and thereby had opportunity to pursue his interest in field sports and wildlife depiction in India and South Africa. Tooley 247.
