HAROLD DENISON MOUNTAIN FOLK ETCHINGS SERIES Nine drypoint etchings by Harold Denison (1887-1940) - a series depicting life in the Smokey Mountain regions of the U.S. circa 1925. Titles, and thereby subjects, include: MONDAY MORNING, #16 of 75, signed lower right and the sheet size is 10 3/4" tall by 14" wide. Image size is 7 7/8" tall by 9 3/4" wide, very good condition. Two have a sheet size of 11" tall by 16" wide and depict a sleigh ride in winter as well as a complex farmyard scene filled with figures of all types, both are signed only in the plate and a date of 1928 is there as well, condition is very good. An image titled SQUARE DANCE has sheet size of 11" tall by 14" wide and an image size of 7" tall by 10 7/8" wide, it is pencil signed and numbered 15 of 75, condition is very good. The next one has a sheet size of 14" tall by 11" wide, is number 1 of 100 and has a title of MOUNTAIN FOLK, an image of 7 x 11. Next one is also 1 of 100 and is titled BED TIME, has a sheet size of 11" tall by 14" wide and an image size of 7" tall by 7 7/8" wide, is pencil signed, very good condition. ANOTHER DAY is next with a sheet size of 11" tall by 14" wide, image 7 x 8 3/4, it's numbered 10 of 75 and is pencil signed, very good condition. NEIGHBORS is 14 x 11 with an image 7 3/4 x 6 7/8, is pencil signed and in very good condition as well. All are archivally matted, not laid down, unframed. Several have small pin holes around their extreme edge
