Description

Silver prints, flush-mounted on boards, each signed either in ink or pencil (or both) upon the reverse, each titled and dated on the reverse, and all but one bearing one or another of the photographer's stamps. One bears an unusual stamp with the address 9, rue Gît-le-Coeur, the address of the famous 'Beat Hotel' where Chapman lived and worked in Paris. Quantity: 6

Notes

Petula Clark's face on a hoarding with a door in it, an old lady walking past a poster, actresses or unknowns with the look of actresses, this was Chapman's Parisian world. A group of these images are in the collection of the Bibliothèque Nationale, Paris.
