Hancock, John. (1737-93) Signer of the Declaration of Independence; President of the Continental Congress; Governor of Massachusetts. Autograph Document Signed ("Jno. Hancock"), 2 x 7 1/2 inches, n.p., Dec. 24, 1757. Two lines acknowledging receipt of "Thirty pounds three shillings & two pence in part of within by the Hands of Mr. Joseph Hull." Written on the verso of a partly-printed documented with the name of his wealthy uncle, Thomas Hancock, whose estate John would inherit in 1764.
