Provenance:

Purchased by the present owner from Mansard Art Gallery, London, the art-dealing section of Heals department store, during a general exhibition in the 1970s. The back of the original canvas is inscribed: 1972/190: Banana Sellers: Ha Van Vuong: 54 x 36. The gallery label notes that it was priced at £125 at that time.

'Itinerant Singer', another work by the well-known Vietnamese artist, is in the Collection of the Tate Gallery, London.
