Guy Malet was one of the most skilled printmakers of the Grosvenor School of Modern Art. He was a pupil of Iain Macnab, see previous lot, and although better known for his wood engravings, it is the rare colour linocuts that stand out as his most original works. The present lot, "Concert", is arguably the most avant-garde of these.
