Lot 181: Gustave Eiffel

ALS in French, signed "G. Eiffel," one page, 5.25 x 8, personal letterhead, February 2, no year. A letter written on the behalf of his daughter, Claire Eiffel Salles. In part (translated): "My daughter, Mrs. Salles, would be keen to attend to Mrs. Germain and tell her it would be a pleasure to have you join us on February 25. Would you be kind enough to tell me the day that Mrs. Germain responds so I may convey to Ms. Salles." In fine condition, with central vertical and horizontal folds and trivial adhesive remnants to the bottom edge. Accompanied by a 1940s postcard photo of the Eiffel Tower.
